Josh, the owner, runs a great business and is one amazing hair stylist. I’ve had him do nearly every haircut for 17 years now. For my cuts (guy’s haircut), he uses only scissors, which gives a precise cut and look. Great conversations, a genuine interest in what’s gone on in my life since my last cut, and a great vibe at his place as with all his stylists. HIGHLY recommend.

Tribute Beauty Lounge is a beautiful salon in Old Town Newhall, in the yellow Victorian buildings located on Walnut Street. Josh Rivas, salon owner and stylist, did an amazing job of creating a bright, yet relaxing atmosphere where clients can come in and spend an afternoon relaxing in the hands of one of the talented stylists who work there. If you were to meet me on the street and ask for a recommendation for a local salon, I would absolutely recommend Tribute Beauty Lounge.

Josh became my stylist after my hairdresser left the salon where I had been going for the last 20 years, here in Santa Clarita. I was skeptical at first, but quickly realized how much better Josh was than my previous stylist. Josh listened to my requests for color and cut, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Josh was easy to talk to, and we quickly became friends by the end of my first appointment. I was worried initially that Josh’s prices would be more than what I had previously paid, but was happily surprised that it was not (in fact it was a bit cheaper). I would highly recommend Josh (at Tribute salon), if you are interested in a fabulous cut/color/hairstyle.

My husband and I return to Josh every month because we know that he truly listens to his customers. If I want to grow my hair, Josh cuts it so it is healthy and will grow into a beautiful, manageable style. After trying various hair stylists, my husband Alec will let no one else cut his hair, than Josh Rivas. Josh also educates us on the best hair products to maintain the hairstyle, but never in a “salesy- pushy” way. We trust him completely with our hair. The atmosphere is bright, and happy, located on the hip Walnut street in downtown Newhall. Stop and grab a latte at Egg Plantation, then invite Josh to transform your look with a new hairstyle. It had been years since I last went to a salon because I usually just color my own hair. I was honestly nervous about going back, but Josh at Tribute Beauty Lounge made the experience so comfortable. He refreshed my color and added subtle highlights that blended away the grays, and the cut gave my fine hair more fullness and bounce. I walked out feeling so much better about my hair, it looks healthier and styles more easily now.
