Josh Rivas is more than just a world-class hairstylist—he’s a creative force, a passionate community leader, and the heart behind Tribute Beauty Lounge in Old Town Newhall. With a client base that spans the globe, Josh is celebrated for his exceptional color work, precision styling, and personalized approach that makes every guest feel like a star.
As the owner, Josh leads a talented team of stylists with vision and heart, fostering a salon culture built on creativity, collaboration, and positivity. His ability to mentor and inspire makes Tribute not only a destination for beauty, but also one of the best places to work in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Josh’s influence extends far beyond the salon chair. A lifelong volunteer and dedicated philanthropist, he serves on multiple nonprofit boards and is the current Director of Public Awareness for Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley. Over the past decades, he has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities, chaired major fundraising events, and continues to support countless causes through donated services, hands-on involvement, and innovative leadership.
His excellence in both leadership and philanthropy has been recognized time and again. In 2013, Josh was honored as part of the Santa Clarita Valley’s 40 Under Forty. In 2020, his commitment and impact earned him a place among the Top 100 alumni of that award. But in 2025, Josh achieved the pinnacle of community recognition when he was named Santa Clarita Valley Man of the Year—a testament to his tireless dedication to making a difference.
His passion for service is deeply rooted in his personal journey. Raised by a single mother and shaped by mentors, Josh launched his hairstyling career in 2003 and spent 18 years as a full-time caregiver for his quadriplegic grandmother. His compassion, resilience, and work ethic define everything he does.
